We are happy to report that there seems to be a great demand for our constantly updated website, as shown by the number of visitors. This interest is all the more understandable as the past few years proved an eventful period in the life of the Company. 2004 saw the financial transaction of convertible bonds involving the Hungarian state’s 25%+1 stake in Gedeon Richter. The transaction enabled the Company to continue its corporate strategy since the Hungarian state remains a shareholder in the medium term and continues to exercise its ownership rights until September 2009. Despite the fierce competition in the pharmaceutical sector, solid growth characterized the year 2006. We continued to regard R&D and corporate social responsibility a priority. Besides, Gedeon Richter remained an avid supporter of Hungarian education and health care, it sponsored various events and granted several awards last year. 

While the website is constantly changing and expanding, our intention remains the same. Namely, to turn these pages into a valuable resource which delivers a wealth of interesting, significant and trustworthy information on Richter.
