Thanks to the established synergies, the Richter Group's performance means more than a simple association of the individual performances of its members. Our manufacturing subsidiaries which operate in Richter's traditional markets together with the establishment and development of our specialized marketing network have laid the foundation for a strong regional multinational Group.      

Through the establishment of greenfield investments in Russia and India, Richter has expanded its network of manufacturing bases. The Company has also strengthened its regional multinational role with the help of acquisitions in Romania and Poland.

A number of marketing companies support the activity of the Richter Group in several countries of the world. Wholesalers in Hungary – Hungaropharma Zrt, Medimpex Gyógyszer-nagykereskedelmi Zrt. – further strengthen the position of the Group in its domestic market. To support its vertically integrated business model in the Romanian market, Gedeon Richter Romania S.A. acquired a number of wholesaler and retail companies. During the second quarter 2006 it acquired a 98.05 percent ownership in wholesaler group Sibofarm S.R.L., then a 99.94 percent stake in Gedeon Richter Farmacia S. A., a majority owner of several pharmaceutical retail companies. Furthermore, in the fourth quarter 2006 Dita Group, comprising three wholesaler companies headquartered in Bucharest, Kolozsvár and Craiova, was purchased. Besides, Armedica Trading S.R.L. completed the acquisition of a number of small pharmacies and, via the retail companies and pharmacy licenses acquired previously, obtained operation rights for about 60 pharmacies. The above acquisitions enhance the Group's presence in Romania.    

Richter also participates in a number of other companies which provide services to assist the main activities of the parent company.
