These fungi, which represent a direct threat to the health of the population, favour a warm, damp environment, and are particularly fond of lurking in training shoes made from synthetic materials, although they can also be found in communally used shower rooms and in carpets.
Skin and nail fungal infections are among the most well-known, but also the most concealed diseases. Their diagnosis is not always easy, but is nevertheless important, because if left untreated they can lead to serious illness (Eryisipelas, inflammation of the lymphatic channels or varicose veins).
Only the medicines prescribed by a dermatologist or general practitioner are effective for the treatment of extensive, recurring, inaccessible fungal skin diseases or nail infections.
Today, a variety of highly efficacious medicines are available for the treatment of these diseases, differentiated according to whether they inhibit the growth or reproduction of the fungus.
Some medicines only need to be administered once a day, on a continuous basis, or weekly, for maximum convenience. Which of these medicines is suitable in a given case will depend on the patient's age, the underlying and any associated diseases, and the extent of the infection.
In the case of the most common, minor skin infections e.g. sun fungus, infections of the creases in the skin, athlete’s foot, a topically applied cream is sufficient. Our fungicidal cream eliminates the fungus within a week, and the patient is cured. However, patients should be aware that fungicidal treatments can only be successful if the product is used for the appropriate length of time, and the recommended hygienic procedures are also adhered to.
