Cardiovascular products
Since its establishment in 1901, Richter has worked hard to ensure that, in virtually all areas of therapy, including that of cardiovascular medicine, it can offer patients those pharmaceutical products that best suits their needs, and which, based on outstanding clinical results, have proven to be safe enough to administer on a daily basis. Over the past decades these products – owing to their efficacy – have come to be routinely used in mainstream medical practise, both in Hungary and abroad.

For this reason Richter is continuously expanding the range of its cardiological products. Its ACE-inhibitor product for the lowering of blood pressure, launched in 1995, has become the most frequently administered medicine in Hungary, seven years after its introduction. Another of Richter’s ACE-inhibitor products, also popular in the Hungarian and international markets, has provided the medical profession with a long-acting active ingredient with unique kinetic properties, for the protection of organs, while a still more recently introduced medicine offers the outstanding efficacy of a third-generation calcium antagonist. A combination of the latter two medicines has been awarded the Innovation Grand Prize of the Hungarian Association for Innovation, and by combining the two effects, makes it possible to achieve even better results in the fight against cardiovascular disease. Besides these, the Company’s newest product enables doctors to provide their patients with a modern statin therapy for the reduction of cholesterol.
